Meet Tyler Schermerhorn

Tyler Schermerhorn is a tireless advocate for those who have been injured by the negligence of others. His compassion for his clients’ needs is the inspiration behind The Schermerhorn Firm. Prior to founding the Firm, Tyler worked for one of Atlanta’s most revered defense firms. There, he represented numerous Fortune 500 companies against claims arising from tractor-trailer accidents, automobile accidents, negligent security, and defective products, to name a few.

 Through this experience, Tyler gained an intimate understanding about how corporations
defend lawsuits and how their insurance companies value claims. This gives him a unique strategic advantage that he uses to battle these companies when he fights them on behalf of his clients, allowing him to get the best result possible.

After years of defending corporate America, Tyler decided to follow his heart and turn his skill and compassion to the individuals whose lives have been disrupted through an injury that was caused by somebody’s negligence. Tyler joined one of Atlanta’s preeminent personal injury firms and later moved on to start The Schermerhorn Firm, where he devotes his entire practice
to representing the injured.

Tyler obtained his undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. He received his Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He and his family are members of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Brookhaven, Georgia, where they live.
